Important measures for your visit

Guest responsibilities and measures of the park

COVID

We have been intensively preparing for a re-opening of our park in close cooperation with the authorities. Health and safety of our guests and workers have always been our highest priority. It is our goal that you continue to feel safe and comfortable when visiting us.

The park will have limitations on capacity, parking spots and operating hours . Given this unprecedented situation, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this process as responsibly as we can.

The park will begin to reopen in a way that incorporates enhanced health and safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate protection equipment by both employees and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional health and safety training for employees. As we continue to monitor conditions, and with the health of guests and employees at the forefront of our planning, we may adapt or change the operational measures with the aim of a constant enhancement of guest and employees health.

IMPORTANT: Here's what to know before you go. Please read.

  1. Based on the additional measures and procedures, we ask for guest understanding of and compliance with the following requirements*:
  2. We kindly ask you check you are in good health condition before visiting the park. Guests who have been in contact with a person infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the last 14 days or show symptoms of a respiratory infection or high temperature, shall postpone their visit to the park. We recommend you not to visit the park in case you or anyone who lives with you is at high risk of severe illness.
  3. Please buy your tickets in our online shop, as the on site sales are not available. Following public health authorities rules and recommendations, we may request guest’s contact information. In such case, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations and before collecting any personal data, we will implement the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the privacy of our guests and provide them all the information about their personal data processing, including the enabled channels to exercise their rights and resolve any questions they may have.

Upon arrival and at park visit:

  1. Wearing a protective mask covering mouth and nose is mandatory in all roofed areas as well as waiting areas of any kind (indoor and outdoor) and in some attractions. Please note that a protective mask is also mandatory when entering the park (from the ticket office buildings to the fountain). There are written instructions around the park to inform guests about use of masks.
  2. It is mandatory to use disinfection and sanitation products after leaving certain spaces or use certain rides. Hand sanitizers will be available at attractions, restaurant and stores. You will find clear instructions around the park.
  3. Please pay attention to the social distance rule and keep, at least, 1.5 meters with other guests throughout your stay. Our park area is large and spacious which means there is enough space for all guests to keep the mandatory minimum social distance but there is an obvious personal responsibility in doing so which we encourage to strictly follow.  You will find clear information and floor markers will be available.
  4. Please wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Please do this regularly. There are plenty of facilities available to do so.
  5. Should you feel unwell during your visit, with symptoms compatible with Covid-19, please avoid contact with other guests and seek for medical attention Please wear your mouth-nose protection.
  6. If you begin to sneeze or cough for whatever reason, please do it in your elbow, not in your hands.
  7. Please respect in all instances instructions from park personnel and obey all written and oral warnings. Guests who do not comply with these rules may be ejected from the park without refund.

*These measures will continue to be reviewed as the situation warrants, and may be further adjusted.

The Lost Temple

Closed attractions and shows

Due to official regulations, Movie Park Germany will have to temporarily suspend its stunt show "Crazy Cops New York". The Roxy 4-D cinema, Time Riders and Lost Temple will also be affected by a closure. From the 29th of June on, meet & greets with our popular characters from PAW Patrol, SpongeBob and Co. are possible again. The corresponding shows cannot be held for the time being.

The Movie Park Parade is currently suspended to avoid crowds of people to come together. Our street shows will continue to take place.

The pre-shows of the individual attractions will not take place at the moment. Visitors are supposed to be able to walk directly to the attractions without staying longer in closed rooms. Larger waiting areas will be moved to the outside of the attractions.

All other attractions are accessible and will be opened according to safety standards.

Please note that a free choice of seats cannot always be guaranteed, and our staff will arrange attractions according to family groups and households.

Please also take into account that for safety reasons it is not permitted to wear a wrapped scarf or kerchief while using the attractions (multi-functional kerchiefs or similar, tube-like cloths are permitted).

General recommendations and notes

We strongly recommend that you bring another protective mask covering mouth and nose for the case that yours gets lost or becomes unusable due to the use of an attraction. In this context, we would like to point out that the further use of our attractions is not possible without protective masks.

We highly recommend that you visit water attractions only in family groups, as it is only possible to use the attraction without a protective mask covering mouth and nose.

In order to shorten the waiting times in front of our gastronomic offers and to optimize the operative procedures, we would like to ask you to have only one person per family in line to receive food and drinks.

Please understand that longer waiting times may occur at the rides due to the arrangements according to the official safety regulations.

Hygiene and safety measures

Wearing a protective mask covering mouth and nose is obligatory in all roofed areas as well as waiting areas of any kind (indoor and outdoor) and in some attractions. Please note that a protective mask is also obligatory when entering the park (from the ticket office buildings to the fountain).

In addition, the generally established distance regulation of at least 1.50 meters as well as the general sneezing and coughing etiquette applies. Movie Park Germany recommends that visitors wash their hands frequently and thoroughly. Appropriate distance markings for the park’s entrance, ride queues, toilets, shops and restaurant queues as well as additional information signs on hygiene and safety regulations will help guests during the park visit.

Please visit Movie Park Germany only if you are in good health. In case of illness and if a visit is therefore not possible, a medical certificate is required to exchange your ticket. We will check that the use of the protective mask and the general rules of hygiene are observed. In case of non-compliance we reserve the right to expel visitors from the park area.

Our disinfection concept is closely coordinated with the public health department and is checked regularly. All attractions are cleaned at regular intervals - and far more often than officially determined.

Tickets, annual passes and discounts

General ticketinformation

The attraction park is very spacious and has an area of 45 hectares, which equates to more than 60 football fields. In order to reassure the correct movement of visitors in the park, there will be a few adjustments to the park's operation. Therefore, Movie Park Germany starts the season with a limited number of visitors. We have decided to offer day-dated online tickets, which are only available in our web shop. We recommend an early booking.

The visit to Movie Park Germany must be booked online in advance and in every case. The tickets for the desired day of visit can be purchased as of today. Already purchased undated tickets (such as company tickets, tickets from third party suppliers, web shop tickets without a fixed date of visit, free tickets, etc.) remain valid, but must also be registered in advance via the web shop and exchanged for the preferred day of visit. This can be done from 26 May onwards via a separate section of the web shop. Season Pass holders must also make use of this system and plan a day visit online in advance (see below). You can only select a new visit date after a visit has taken place.

The number of tickets per day is limited. Please understand that a spontaneous visit is therefore not possible, and a ticket needs to be reserved in advance. The purchase and exchange of tickets at the park's ticket offices is excluded.

Due to official regulations, we are obliged to record the details of the persons who will visit the park when ordering / reserving tickets. For this reason, resale to third parties is prohibited.

In this context, we would also kindly ask you to keep your ticket with you during your stay in the park and keep it for at least 4 weeks after visiting the park.

Season pass

Due to the delayed start of the season, we have decided to automatically extend your Season Pass 2020 (last due date 16 March 2020) until 30 May 2021. You can continue to visit us as often as you like but it is still necessary to register online for the day of your choice. Please note that you can only select tickets visit after visit and choose a new date each time a visit has taken place.

Season passes of other parks

Season pass holders of our sister parks ( i.e. Slagharen, Bobbejaanland, Belantis and Weltvogelpark Walsrode) can also book a visiting day here.

Discounts and discount coupons

All our discount coupons are redeemable in our online shop from 26 May. Please enter the four-digit PLU number printed on the coupon as promotion code.

Important: The original coupon must be presented at the turnstiles for control purposes when entering the park.

Birthday discounts are currently not offered for park visits.

Ruhr.TOPCARD and RheinlandCard

Holders of a Ruhr.TOPCARD or RheinlandCard must also select their day of visit online in advance in order to purchase the discounted ticket directly. Click here to make a reservation.
