COVID-19 Update
Friday, April 17, 2020

Dear guests,

Due to the current decisions made by the German government and federal states Movie Park Germany has to postpone its season opening furthermore and unfortunately cannot start the new season on April 24, 2020 as planned.

Of course, our highest priority remains the safety of all of our guests and team members. While it is too soon to confidently provide a reopening date, please know we remain committed to reopening Movie Park Germany for you to enjoy as soon and as safely possible. As soon as a definite opening date is fixed, we will contact you immediately and inform you on our website and social media platforms.

We are currently in close dialog with the responsible authorities. Furthermore, we are also in regular contact with other German amusement parks and facilities through the "VDFU" (association of German leisure companies). We are acting jointly to work towards opening as soon and as safely possible.

The media are currently discussing the ban on major events until August 31, which has been imposed by the German government. According to the current classification of the State of NRW, Movie Park is explicitly not affected as a leisure and entertainment facility (§3 CoronaSchVO of the State of NRW). This also corresponds to our self-image and the assessments of the industry association.

We welcome the nationwide relaxation of the Corona measures announced by the Federal Government and hope that we will be able to open our doors - with the appropriate specifications and precautions proposed by the authorities - for you again in the near future. We are therefore looking forward to further developments. On 4 May, the Chancellor and the heads of government of the federal states will reassess developments and decide on the next steps.

If you planned to visit us in the coming days, which are now falling within the closing period, please feel free to visit our website for more information about tickets and hotel bookings.

We thank you for your understanding and patience, which we appreciate very much in these dynamic times.

FAQ

The current resolutions of the Federal Government and the Minister Presidents of the federal states include an extension of the ban on contact until at least 3 May 2020. Movie Park Germany is also affected by this and has to postpone its season opening furthermore. Even though it is currently too early to determine a concrete opening date, our guests can be confident that we will do our best to re-open Movie Park Germany as soon and as safely possible. As soon as a concrete opening date is fixed, we will inform you immediately.

Below you will find our answers to frequently asked questions that have reached us in the last few days. If you have further questions you can reach us best by e-mail at info@moviepark.de. We kindly ask you to count in some waiting time due to the increased volume of queries. We will do our best to answer your questions promptly and to your satisfaction.

When does Movie Park Germany open?

The current decree of the NRW state government includes the closure of recreational facilities and thus also addresses Movie Park Germany. As a result, the park will remain closed until at least May 04, 2020. Currently, we are planning to open on May 04, 2020, always depending on the decision of the NRW state government.

What happens to my ticket?

All tickets remain valid.

Tickets purchased in our online shop with a fixed visit date, which falls within our closing period, remain valid until the end of the 2020 season and can be used freely on any day. The only exceptions to this are the special sales days.

Are you in possession of a ticket without a fixed date of visit or a season pass?

No rebooking or postponement is necessary here. You can use your tickets flexibly as soon as we open again. We are currently assuming that the 2020 season will still have a large number of visiting days for you to offer.

Should Movie Park Germany, contrary to expectations, have to close beyond May 04, 2020, there will be the possibility to use the tickets and passes beyond the 2020 season. In this way, we can offer you the best possible flexibility.

All season pass holders will continue to benefit from 100% Hollywood-like adventures at Movie Park Germany. We still would like to give you the opportunity to use your already purchased season pass fully. This is why we will automatically extend it by the number of days that have to be skipped. Therefore, even after the winter break, you can still make up for all the days you missed in 2020 in the new 2021 season.

We will postpone the pre-opening of the season pass to the days immediately before the park opens and inform you in time.

We will extend all discount coupons on the market until the end of the season, regardless of the communicated redemption period.

I have booked a stay or hotel package through Movie Park Holidays. Can I cancel or postpone my stay?

Deviating from our general terms and conditions, it is also possible to rebook free of charge up to three days before arrival. All guests who have a booking with arrival before May 04, 2020 will be contacted by us and we will be happy to help you individually with the replanning and rebooking of your trip.

We kindly ask for your understanding that Movie Park Germany will consider your date of arrival when working through the requests and will start with the early arrival periods first. All guests arriving at a later point of time are kindly asked to have a little patience until they are notified individually. We will take care of your booking as soon as possible.

If you have any further questions, please contact us by e-mail info@movieparkholidays.de.

I have booked a stay through a third party, e.g. a tour operator, how can I change this?

Please contact your tour operator directly.

Can I cancel or postpone my group arrangement or school trip?

Here too, we offer you a flexible solution. Should your reservation fall on a date before May 04, 2020, you can of course rebook or cancel it free of charge.
