Following the latest decisions made by the government and federal states on Wednesday, March 03, 2021, Movie Park Germany will extend its break and postpone the planned season start on March 26 to a later date.
In the past Minister Presidents' Conference, many sectors and industries were discussed, and opening perspectives were outlined - but not for the leisure industry. Amusement parks have not been mentioned in the planned five relaxation phases, which is very regrettable for us and certainly for many other German operators of leisure activities.
We therefore hope for your understanding that we cannot name an opening date for the 2021 season yet. As soon as a possible day is fixed, we will inform you about it on our website and our social media platforms.
Apart from that and in order for Movie Park Germany as a company to reserve the most possible flexibility, a lot of necessary work and checks have already been carried out in the park for several weeks, so that the park is prepared for a season opening to the greatest possible extent.
However, a certain lead time before the actual opening date is indispensable to create the infrastructural, technical, and operational conditions for park operation. Therefore, we very much hope to receive more clarity from the politicians in the next few days.
Some requirements are expected to be met again this year. As last year, Movie Park Germany is already preparing for a systematic recording of visitor capacities. This year again, an online registration will be necessary in advance to visit Germany's biggest movie and amusement park. Dated tickets for a visit to Hollywood in Germany will soon be available for purchase from the park's online ticket store at www.moviepark.de once a specific opening date has been named. Flexible, undated tickets are already available for purchase on the park's website.
We thank you for your patience and hope to welcome you back soon.
