The opening of Movie Park Germany is on its way: We are very happy to announce that the park will reopen its doors on 29 May!
In order to make you enjoy a movie-like day at out park, the safety and health of our guests and staff is of course our highest priority. Therefore, we have intensively prepared for the reopening together with the authorities and have carefully coordinated the necessary hygiene and safety precautions.
To ensure that you can continue to move around our park as safely as possible, we will initially start with a limited number of visitors on 29 May. To regulate the number of visitors in the best possible way, we have decided to offer day-dated online tickets, which are available in advance and exclusively in our web shop. We recommend early booking. The 45-hectare area of Movie Park is spacious and extensive enough to allow all visitors to keep the necessary distance. Tickets for your desired day of visit can only be purchased in the web shop, the sale is starting today. Please note that every visit to Movie Park Germany must be reserved online in advance.
Furthermore, all undated tickets that have already been purchased (such as company tickets, tickets from third party suppliers, web shop tickets without a fixed date of visit, etc.) do not lose their validity but must also be registered in advance via the web shop and exchanged for the preferred day of visit. This can be done from 26 May onwards via a separate section of the web shop.
Season Pass holders must also make use of this system and plan a day visit online in advance. Please note that you as a Season Pass holder can only select tickets visit after visit and choose a new date each time a visit has taken place. Due to the later start of the reservation system, we will of course reserve a contingent for you. You can find more information about this on our website below.
The contingent of tickets per day is limited. Please understand that a spontaneous visit is therefore not possible, and a ticket needs to be reserved in advance. The purchase and exchange of tickets at the park's ticket offices is excluded.
Of course, we can only master a safe re-opening together and therefore hope for your help. Please be considerate towards each other and pay attention to the established safety and hygiene regulations during your stay at the park. These regulations are valid at Movie Park until further notice, so that we all can enjoy a carefree day and a great remaining season 2020.
The shooting break in Hollywood is now coming to an end! We would like to thank you once again for your patience and support, which we have been able to experience over the past weeks and which we appreciate very much.
We are very happy about the positive news regarding the opening and look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Greetings from Hollywood in Germany

What measures will be taken?
Ticket purchase and exchange:
The attraction park is very spacious and has an area of 45 hectares, which equates to more than 60 football fields. In order to reassure the correct movement of visitors in the park, there will be a few adjustments to the park's operation. Therefore, Movie Park Germany starts the season with a limited number of visitors. We have decided to offer day-dated online tickets, which are only available in our web shop. We recommend an early booking.
The visit to Movie Park Germany must be booked online in advance and in every case. The tickets for the desired day of visit can be purchased as of today. Already purchased undated tickets (such as company tickets, tickets from third party suppliers, web shop tickets without a fixed date of visit, free tickets, etc.) remain valid, but must also be registered in advance via the web shop and exchanged for the preferred day of visit. This can be done from 26 May onwards via a separate section of the web shop. Season Pass holders must also make use of this system and plan a day visit online in advance (see below). You can only select a new visit date after a visit has taken place.
The number of tickets per day is limited. Please understand that a spontaneous visit is therefore not possible, and a ticket needs to be reserved in advance. The purchase and exchange of tickets at the park's ticket offices is excluded.
Due to official regulations, we are obliged to record the details of the persons who will visit the park when ordering / reserving tickets. For this reason, resale to third parties is prohibited.
In this context, we would also kindly ask you to keep your ticket with you during your stay in the park and keep it for at least 4 weeks after visiting the park.
Due to the delayed start of the season, we have decided to automatically extend your Season Pass 2020 (last due date 16 March 2020) until 30 May 2021. You can continue to visit us as often as you like but it is still necessary to register online for the day of your choice. Please note that you can only select tickets visit after visit and choose a new date each time a visit has taken place.
Season passes of other parks
Season pass holders of our sister parks ( i.e. Slagharen, Bobbejaanland, Belantis and Weltvogelpark Walsrode) can also book a visiting day here.
Discounts and discount coupons
All our discount coupons are redeemable in our online shop from 26 May. Please enter the four-digit PLU number printed on the coupon as promotion code.
Important: The original coupon must be presented at the turnstiles for control purposes when entering the park.
Birthday discounts are currently not offered for park visits.
Ruhr.TOPCARD and RheinlandCard
Holders of a Ruhr.TOPCARD or RheinlandCard must also select their day of visit online in advance in order to purchase the discounted ticket directly.
The registration of a group is unfortunately not possible in the current situation. Already booked group trips will be contacted proactively by us in order to discuss the further procedure.
Arrivals by bus are not possible for the time being.
Movie Park Holidays
Furthermore, we offer you our attractive offers with park attendance plus accommodation in our partner hotels. Your dated tickets are already included in your booking. To ensure the best possible planning for the number of visitors, our hotel guests can visit the park as follows:
- Economy package: Arrival day
- Classic Package: day of arrival + the following day
- Glamping adventure: day of arrival + the following day
A further pre-booking is not necessary. Please note the valid travel regulations.
We hope to welcome our international guests again soon and ask you to check your departure conditions before buying your ticket. The day-dated tickets cannot be exchanged.
We explicitly point out that wearing a protective mask covering mouth and nose is also obligatory for our international guests, even if this regulation does not apply in the respective countries (such as the Netherlands).
Children between 0 and 3 years of age do not need an additional ticket.
Children from 6 years of age must wear a face mask due to the mask obligation in NRW.
In this context, we would like to point out that you should keep your ticket with you during your stay at the park and keep it for at least 4 weeks after visiting the park.
Guests with disabilities:
In order to receive a discount, guests with a disability and an entry of a GdB under 100 must enter the promotion code: PLU1004 (for adults) and promotion code: PLU1007 (for children 4-11 years) in our web shop.
The corresponding pass for severely disabled persons must then be presented when entering the park.
Persons with a GdB entry of 100 in conjunction with one of the features aG, BL, B or H must register online at least 5 working days before the visit and send the front and back of the pass, specifying the desired day of visit, by e-mail to: email@example.com. Admission can only be granted after confirmation.
Hygiene and safety measures:
Wearing a protective mask covering mouth and nose is obligatory in all roofed areas as well as waiting areas of any kind (indoor and outdoor) and in some attractions. Please note that a protective mask is also obligatory when entering the park (from the ticket office buildings to the fountain).
In addition, the generally established distance regulation of at least 1.50 meters as well as the general sneezing and coughing etiquette applies. Movie Park Germany recommends that visitors wash their hands frequently and thoroughly. Appropriate distance markings for the park’s entrance, ride queues, toilets, shops and restaurant queues as well as additional information signs on hygiene and safety regulations will help guests during the park visit.
Please visit Movie Park Germany only if you are in good health. In case of illness and if a visit is therefore not possible, a medical certificate is required to exchange your ticket. We will check that the use of the protective mask and the general rules of hygiene are observed. In case of non-compliance we reserve the right to expel visitors from the park area.
Information about the attractions:
Due to official regulations, Movie Park Germany will have to temporarily suspend its stunt show "Crazy Cops New York". The Roxy 4-D cinema, Time Riders and Lost Temple will also be affected by a closure. In addition to that, meet & greets with our popular characters from PAW Patrol, SpongeBob and Co. as well as the corresponding shows cannot be held for the time being.
The Movie Park Parade is currently suspended to avoid crowds of people to come together. Our street shows will continue to take place.
The pre-shows of the individual attractions will not take place at the moment. Visitors are supposed to be able to walk directly to the attractions without staying longer in closed rooms. Larger waiting areas will be moved to the outside of the attractions.
All other attractions are accessible and will be opened according to safety standards.
Please note that a free choice of seats cannot always be guaranteed, and our staff will arrange attractions according to family groups and households.
Please also take into account that for safety reasons it is not permitted to wear a wrapped scarf or kerchief while using the attractions (multi-functional kerchiefs or similar, tube-like cloths are permitted).
Speedy Pass / VIP ticket
The sale of Speedy Passes and VIP tickets is temporarily not possible due to reduced visitor capacity and changes in the routing of the attractions. As a special service, we are extending the validity of Speedy Passes and VIP tickets that were already purchased until 30 May 2021.
Merchandise & F&B
To maintain the appropriate distance, the F&B facilities will have fewer tables and therefore less capacity.
All our shops and outlets are subject to the currently valid regulations for the retail trade and gastronomy of the state of NRW. The tables in all F&B facilities will be adapted to the distance regulations. Please note that only family members or a maximum of two households can be seated together per table.
If you want to eat in one of our restaurants, please always carry your ticket with you. Due to current regulations you will be registered inside. Please refer to the signs on-site for further information including the entrance and exit regulations.
For the protection of all guests Movie Park Germany offers the possibility of contactless payment in all outlets and stores.
General recommendations and notes:
We strongly recommend that you bring another protective mask covering mouth and nose for the case that yours gets lost or becomes unusable due to the use of an attraction. In this context, we would like to point out that the further use of our attractions is not possible without protective masks.
We highly recommend that you visit water attractions only in family groups, as it is only possible to use the attraction without a protective mask covering mouth and nose.
In order to shorten the waiting times in front of our gastronomic offers and to optimize the operative procedures, we would like to ask you to have only one person per family in line to receive food and drinks.
Please understand that longer waiting times may occur at the rides due to the arrangements according to the official safety regulations.
